Humanity Theory is a musical exploration based on Individual Needs identified in Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs (released in 1943), but extended to Global Needs (which Maslow didn't provide an analysis of), in order to provide a pathway to a world actuality of peace. The album was organized with the idea that the world community has needs (as individuals do) that require attainment in order for the world to reach a global actualization. It includes the following songs:

1. Maslow €™s Omission: Humanity Theory strives to go beyond Maslow €™s model
2. Start With Truth: the importance of truth for all things
3. Shelter From It All: defend from the many global threats we face
4. See It Coming: the importance of looking ahead to implement change
5. Enough For All: the world offers so much for shared prosperity
6. Prosperity To Peace: shared prosperity can lead to a more peaceful world
7. Circle Back: reflecting continual iterations of addressing needs

The Humanity Theory Model
What is the goal of the world? What does the world need in a stepwise hierarchical manner to achieve an equitable union and peace? What is the pathway of global-actualization and our collective role in it?

Humanity Theory is my attempt to answer these questions in a musical way, within an alternative jazz format. The 7 songs included outline 5 steps analogous to Maslow €™s model but which extend to a global setting, with world dynamic considerations, represented in the following diagram:

Humanity Theory

The introduction song, Maslow €™s Omission, is an overture describing how Humanity Theory strives to go beyond the individual needs that Maslow addressed in his model. The 5 core steps of the Humanity Theory extension are, then:

I. Start With Truth - the importance of truth as a basis for all we encounter & create
II. Shelter From It All - to defend from the many global threats we face
III. See It Coming - the importance of looking ahead to implement long-term change
IV. Enough For All - the world provides so much for shared prosperity
V. Prosperity To Peace - shared prosperity can lead to a more peaceful world

And, the final song, Circle Back, is a reminder that so many things in life are iterative. As with Maslow €™s Hierarchy of Needs, which reflects a cycling through Individual Needs, Global Needs are cycled through as well. As new events occur in our journey of fulfillment and growth, to achieve and maintain a desired actuality toward world peace, we revisit lower steps iteratively.

The 5 Global Needs are shown in the diagram above Maslow's Individual Needs, ascending from the bottom.
